Dustin: Receptionist

Dustin grew up in a small town in Vermont.  She has always been around animals, whether it was her cats growing up, or the raccoon, wild rabbit or turtle that she rehabilitated.  Animals have always been a big part of her life and have provided a friend to rely on.

Dustin currently resides with her family and loving Pitbull, Duzo.  When she is not at work she can be found creating various craft projects or visiting with her parents and their two dogs and one cat.

Dustin is passionate about helping animals and has always worked as a caregiver in one form or another.  She looks forward to helping care for your pets and ease any concerns that you may have.

Layne: Receptionist

Layne was born and raised in Maine and has worked with animals her whole life. She grew up riding horses and helping around the barn. She has experience with her family in breeding dogs and has continued to work with both large and small animals through her life.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her three dogs. Layne can also be found chasing her young son around.

Ann: Licensed Veterinary Technician

Written by Dr. Ruksznis: Ann is a great worker and a great friend.  Having worked alongside Dr. Ruksznis in the past, the two can often be seen working in tandem without even having to say things to each other.

Ann can handle any personality attached to a pet.  She is an asset to the team and the the animals we serve.

Nikki: Veterinary Assistant

Junique A.K.A. Nikki was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts. She currently studies Veterinary Technology at York County Community College working towards becoming a licensed Veterinary Technician. 

Growing up, she has always had a passion for animals. She would get caught by her mother talking to dragonflies and critters at age 4 like they were her best friends. She loves all animals so don’t ask her which one is her favorite. 

Today, Nikki works as a dog bather at Petsmart part time. When Nikki isn’t working, she is home in Freeport with her 2 lovely cats: Rico & Kiki.  She enjoys the outdoors, art, music, movies, and being with friends & family. She can’t wait to meet all of your pets and give them all the love.

Sierra: Veterinary Assistant

Sierra joins Topsham Veterinary Wellness Center with a unique blend of innovative business strategy and animal wellness experience.  After focusing on building and expanding a local sustainable agriculture company for the past several years, she is excited to pursue her passion in veterinary medicine and animal welfare. From an early age, Sierra has loved caring for and helping animals, whether it be a neighbor dog walking business at age 10 or assisting veterinarians in their approach to long-term client comfort and orthopedic surgeries while in college. She brings high level problem solving and customer service capabilities to Topsham Veterinary Wellness Center along with an upbeat and energizing attitude.
